Veria Brint:  Welcome back to Galactic Business Today.  Before signing off, we’re taking you to the resort district of Falleen.  [shot transitions to a holovid over the Klarata Seaside Resort and Casino]  While shareholder meetings for Gud Shipping are typically glamorous just due to the surroundings, this year’s adds another layer of glitz to the mix.  With the merger of Kuat Shipping and Transport and Gud Shipping on the verge of final approval, the Klarata Seaside Resort and Casino is filled with not only the biggest names in interplanetary transport, but some of the biggest power players in Imperial society. 

In addition to the obvious transactions happening this weekend and the expected secret conversations that could result in new deals in the coming months, many eyes are on the security being provided.  There have been discussions of Purnod Guardian Technologies, the firm providing security for the entire resort, competing for a significant contract to provide security for Imperial transport offices through the Empire.  We expect to have additional details following the conclusion of the conference.  For all of us here at Galactic Business Today, I’m Veria Brint, BBC News.
